Dr. Bashir Issak
Dr. Bashir currently works at the Government of Kenya under the Ministry of Health Headquarters, as the Head of the Department of Family Health, where he oversees four divisions namely; Division of Reproductive and Maternal Health, Division of Child and Neonatal Health, Division of Nutrition and Dietetics and Division of Adolescent and School health.
Competent Leader with a background Obstetrics/Gynaecology, he has over twenty years of vast experience in Resource mobilization, Public Health systems strengthening and Donor Development in Kenya.
He has obtained a fellowship in leadership in Maternal and Reproductive Health from Tulane University School of Public health and Tropical Medicine Louisiana, USA and successfully completed a course on Reproductive Health & Development at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In addition, he has intensive training in public health in complex emergencies from Columbia University and attended a course on Financial management of donor funded projects. Besides these he also has certification in leadership, Management and Governance course at Strathmore school of Business.
