At the Workshop on Chartering the Roadmap to the First Vial, participants were honored to hear from Dr Mazyanga Lucy MAZABA, Regional Director of the Eastern Africa Regional Coordinating Centre at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).

In her presentation titled “BioVax’s Place in Africa’s Vaccine Manufacturing: Building Capacity, Credibility, and Continental Confidence,” Dr. Mazaba highlighted the critical role of regional collaboration, institutional strengthening, and regulatory harmonization in advancing Africa’s vaccine manufacturing agenda. She commended Kenya BioVax Institute Limited for its leadership in driving local production and supporting Africa CDC’s vision of vaccine self-reliance under the New Public Health Order.
