Mrs. Olick is a highly motivated professional with experience in education and public sector spanning over a period of 30 years. She draws this public sector experience from various leadership roles, including strategic planning, and education development across the country. She most recently served as the Director of Basic Education in the State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education at the Ministry of Education in Jogoo House, Nairobi. In addition to providing strategic leadership for multiple education facilities – primary schools, secondary schools and colleges, focusing on improving teaching and learning, ensuring high academic standards, and development of coherent curriculums aligned with the vision of the education sector in the country, she also fostered strong relationships with various educational stakeholders.

She brings to BioVax, skill sets in strategic planning, institutional performance, performance management and accountability, stakeholder management, and collaboration. She has experience of working with international organizations and knowledge of the UN partners in Kenya (such as UNICEF, World Food Programme (WFP), experience of establishing donor relations and grant management for specific donors such as the United States Government, collaborating with the United States Agency for International Development (recently closed), experience of working in school feeding programmes including operational and field experience in project development and design, project implementation, and administrative and financial management – a key experience in understanding project level initiatives and programmes targeting young learners and schooling systems, and experience with Results-Based Management approach and other strategic planning approaches.

She has served in various council and board memberships in Alupe University, Pwani University, Kaimosi University, Masinde Muliro University as well as at the National Council for Children Services and in the board of the Child Protection Welfare services in addition to her previous roles as – the Regional Director of Education, Western Region; County Director of Education, (CDE) (Siaya County);District Education Officer (DEO) Marani District (Kisii County);District Education Officer (DEO) Bomet District (Bomet County);District Education Officer (DEO) Kakamega South (Kakamega County);District Education Office (DEO) Naivasha District (Nakuru County);District Education Officer (DEO) Mbeere District (Embu County);District Education Officer (DEO) Bondo (Siaya County);Deputy District Education Officer (Deputy- DEO) Nyando District (Kisumu County). Mrs. Olick has a Master’s Degree in Education (Planning, Administration and Curriculum Development) from Kenyatta University and a Bachelors Degree in Education from the same university. She also gained her Diploma in Public Administration from Hiroshima University, National university in Higashihiroshima, Japan.
