Dr. Serah Muteru

Dr. Muteru is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a background in Pharmacy with close to 20 years’ experience in the field of pharmaceutical quality assurance.
Dr. Muteru joins Kenya BioVax Institute from the National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL), where she commenced her career as a Pharmaceutical Analyst and rose up the ranks to become the Director in charge of the Institution. She also worked as a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) / Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Inspector at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Dr. Muteru obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree and her Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
She has affiliations to various professional organisations, including the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PBB), the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, and the Kenya Medical Association.
In addition, Dr. Muteru is a Certified ISO Internal Auditor, a Quality Management Systems Trainer, and a Biological Analysis Supervisor.
