Kenya BioVax Advances Local Manufacturing Agenda at EARGHSS 2026

Day 2 of the Eastern Africa Regional Global Health Security Summit (EARGHSS 2026) spotlighted the theme of Enabling Local Manufacturing of Health Commodities, bringing together leaders shaping Africa’s health security agenda.

Kenya BioVax Institute Limited participated in engagements led by CEO Dr. Wesley Ronoh, contributing to conversations on strengthening Africa’s capacity to locally manufacture vaccines, biotherapeutics, and essential health products as a cornerstone of pandemic preparedness and response.

The session convened a diverse group of stakeholders, including governments and regulators (MOH_Kenya and Pharmacy and Poisons Board), Africa CDC and World Health Organization, regional manufacturers, development partners such as The World Bank Group, academia, civil society, as well as digital health innovators and media. Discussions emphasized policy coherence, sustainable financing, technology transfer, regulatory maturity, and demand generation—collectively reinforcing the urgency of coordinated action to secure resilient, locally driven health supply chains for Africa’s future.
